HTC One 'mini' reportedly shown in leaked photos

The Verge:

Estonian site Forte has published 13 images of what it describes as a “HTC One mini,” comparing the 4.3-inch device to the larger HTC One.

Isn’t it funny that everyone is telling Apple to make a bigger phone, and Samsung and now HTC, make a “mini” version of their flagship phones after going big?

Samsung posts $6.4B Q1 profit, down slightly from Q4 2012

Cnet:
Net income rose to 7.15 trillion won ($6.4 billion) in the three months ended March 31, an increase from the company’s 5.05 trillion won ($4.55 billion) profit of a year earlier but a slight decline from the fourth-quarter’s $6.6 billion net profit, the South Korean Electronics giant said in a statement.

These guys copy Apple on everything.

Samsung Delays Release of Security Software for Galaxy Phones

NY Times:

In February, Samsung Electronics introduced Knox, a version of Android with security features to make the company’s phones more suitable for businesses, expected for release this spring. But the company has delayed the release of the software until summer, according to two people briefed on the company’s plans.

An insecure OS with delays on the enterprise security software that’s supposed to make it business ready and secure. That’s the wonder of samesung, and Android for that matter.

Apple's bounce-back patent rejected by the Patent Office, but Samsung hasn't won yet

The Verge:

The internet was abuzz yesterday with reports that Apple’s infamous “bounce-back” patent, US 7,469,381 , was “tentatively invalidated” by the US Patent Office. That’s one of the patents Samsung was found to infringe, and any action by the USPTO will have major consequences. Unfortunately, all those reports were extremely premature —patents can’t be “tentatively invalid,” just like people can’t be “tentatively dead.”

iPhone 5 Usage Surpasses Samsung Galaxy S III After Less than 3 Weeks on Market

Why is it that Android users don’t browse the web as much on their devices? I really don’t get it.

Court Bans Some Apple, Samsung Products in South Korea

Time:

A South Korean court ruled Friday that technology rivals Apple Inc. and Samsung Electronics Co. both infringed on each other’s patents, and ordered a partial ban of their products in South Korea.

The Seoul Central District Court ordered Apple to remove the iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPad 1 and iPad 2 from shelves in South Korea, citing they infringed two of Samsung’s telecommunications patents. The court also ruled that Samsung infringed one of Apple’s patents related to the screen’s bouncing back ability and banned sales of the Galaxy S2 and other products in South Korea.

You win some, you loose some. Could this be a preview of what’s going to happen in the US case?

Nicklazilla: Samsung is Apple's Biggest Fan

nicklazilla:

I thought it would be fun to comprise a list of some of the things Samsung has copied form Apple recently. These are just the things I remember from the top of my head, but all of a sudden I had 20 items on the list — but that must be a coincidence, right? Because — as you probably know by now —…

This is just amazing. Via The Loop
